PCO destroys TNA championship at GCW event

TNA is in Dallas, Texas tonight (Sun., Jan. 19, 2025) for its Genesis pay-per-view, a big show kicking off the new partnership with WWE and its NXT developmental wing. GCW, meanwhile, was holding its The People vs. GCW Hammerstein Ballroom event, with TNA Digital Media Champion PCO in the building.

PCO won the Kickoff Rumble, last eliminating Shane Mercer. When he was interviewed in the ring after, he surprised everyone by doing this:

PCO, who hasn’t wrestled for TNA since December, destroyed the Digital Media championship while cutting a promo on the promotion. GCW played it like they weren’t aware it was going to happen and cut the feed while it was going on.

PW Insider reports PCO’s deal with TNA came up at the end of the year, and he’s done with the company. They also say his “rant and destruction of a TNA title was legitimate,” according to their sources.

He had been champion for TNA dating all the way back to the summer of last year.
